- Adopt-a-Drain Be a caretaker of a storm drain in the city. Visit the Adopt-a-Drain website.

- Adopt-a-Wetland Be a caretaker of one of the city’s wetlands. View the Adopt a Wetland Application (PDF).
- Advisory Board or Commission Serve your community as a member of the Economic Development Commission, Environmental Management Commission, Parks and Recreation Commission, Planning Commission, or Tree Board. Submit an Advisory Body Application.
- Buckthorn Participate in an annual event to remove invasive buckthorn from a city park.
- Common Bond Help first to sixth grade students strengthen academic skills by volunteering to be a study buddy. Visit the Common Bond website.

- Help at Your Door Help At Your Door volunteers provide grocery shopping and delivery, transportation, and home support services to seniors and individuals with disabilities. To learn more, visit the Store to Door website.

- Landscaping Plant trees, shrubs, flowers, and more in city parks.
- Neighborhood Watch Sign on to be the Block Captain for your Neighborhood Watch group. Learn more about Neighborhood Watch.
- Park Clean Up Each spring, volunteers select a park to tidy up, and the city provides the trash bags and a Thank You gift! Email Oakdale Recreation or call 651-747-3860.
