Planning & Zoning
Planning and Zoning coordinates the processing and review of applications for new developments, subdivisions, and redevelopment. Staff also provide information and assistance to residents, businesses, and developers and serve as liaison to the Planning Commission.
Responsibilities include assisting with the preparation of a comprehensive plan that lays out the city’s long-range plans for community development and public improvements in the City. To implement the City’s comprehensive plan, the Planning and Zoning staff administer the City’s zoning and subdivision ordinances, which govern how property can be used and divided.
