Yoga Classes

This all-levels yoga class is designed to help you develop a strong and flexible spine, increase comfort and mobility in your joints, and build strength and balance in a safe way. A variety of modifications will be given in order to adapt to all levels of participation.

Classes are based on the theory of somatic movement, which means the focus will be on each student's own internal experience rather than achieving an external appearance. Every class will include movement and guided breathing woven together. Most classes will have an element of meditation, chanting, and guided self-exploration. 

You do not have to be strong or flexible to participate in this class! We will move at a slow pace, allowing for modifications and adjustments as needed. Every body is welcome.

No yoga experience is necessary and all are welcome for these upcoming yoga workshops.

Do you experience pain or stiffness in your back, neck, or shoulders? Hips, knees, or ankles? Increase comfort and mobility in your joints by being guided through gentle movements, breathing techniques, and meditations. This class will include an hour-long yoga practice and a few Ayurvedic and yoga tips you can do at home. 


Are your shoulders and/or neck tight or achy? Do you clench your jaw? Experience headaches? The neck, jaw, and shoulders commonly hold tension leading to additional discomforts. Gain relief from a tight neck, jaw, and/or shoulders. Yoga therapy has lots of movement and breathing tools to help release tension so you can experience a more comfortable body. Relieve tension using movements that are both seated and lying on the floor. We will work with healthy breathing and even meditation to help settle your whole body for more overall comfort. 


Anxiety doesn’t only affect our bodies and minds, it affects our energy, relationships, and perspective on life. Common symptoms of anxiety are tightness and pain in the physical body, changes in energy, and/or recurring negative thoughts. Yoga Therapy uses movements to reduce bodily discomfort, breathing to regulate energy, and meditation and chanting to focus the mind. This multi-faceted approach is especially helpful because it addresses the many different dimensions of our human experience and how anxiety manifests uniquely in each of us. 

In this workshop, experience a gentle yoga practice designed specifically to address anxiety. Included are gentle movements, breathing techniques, meditation, and chanting. This trauma-sensitive workshop will include modifications so everyone can experience the nourishing and supportive tools of yoga therapy.
