Sky Zone Winter Warm Up

Sky Zone: Winter Warm Up

Thursday, February 7 | 5 - 8 PM  | Sky Zone Oakdale, 595 Hale Ave N, Oakdale, MN 55128
Come warm up and enjoy time with friends and family at Sky Zone! A very special Family & Friends package is now available. The package includes four 90 minute Jump Passes, a large pizza (cheese, sausage, or pepperoni), and a pitcher of soda. Other activities include face painting, hot chocolate bar, winter craft station, and one family annual pass package will be given away during the event! $56 package includes passes for 4 jumpers. Additional jumpers may be added on for $12 a person. Register by February 6.

The Samoyed - not just another pretty face. The Samoyed is a working dog, bred for sledding and herding reindeer! We will welcome the Samoyed Association of Minneapolis - St. Paul for a dog sled day. This will be an informational program, with a meet and greet with the dogs, and with time permitting, dog sled riding! Free.

Saturday, February 23 | 6:30 – 8 PM | Discovery Center
Enjoy trails at night under the moon and stars. Follow a trail lit with ice luminaries through the woods. Enjoy hot chocolate and a bonfire with s’mores. $15. Register by February 15.
Oakdale Nature Preserve Snowshoe Rental
Rates are $5 per person for a two hour rental during Discovery Center hours. Youth and adult sizes available. Call 651-747-3860 for more information.

Submit your snow sculpture now through March 29 | Oakdale Residents (Any address in Oakdale, MN 55128)

Winner receives a $100 Marcus Theaters Gift Card! Calling all creative Oakdale residents. Do you have what it takes to create the best snow sculpture in town? If so, head outside any time after a snowfall, and start constructing your masterpiece. All sculptures are judged on appearance, relative to the season’s theme. This year’s theme is “Superhero Snow Sculpture.”

Fall Storytime for Preschoolers: "Love"

Join a librarian from the Oakdale Library for a special preschool story time! We will have fun talking, singing, reading, writing, and playing together.  We will focus on concepts such as counting, colors, sharing, emotions, patterns, and the alphabet. A simple craft will follow.  A free program recommended for developmental ages 0 to 5 and their grown-ups. Free. Please call 651-747-3860 to reserve your spot!

Paw Patrol: Chase

Ryder and his PAW Patrol pals would love this! In this popular class, your PAW Patrol fan will get to create Chase, the German Shepherd police puppy out of air-dry clay. After all, no job (or art project) is too big, no pup is too small, and this class is going to be loved by all! $21. Register by February 22.

Over 20 local vendors offering a unique variety of items including baked goods, jams, cheeses, meats, canned goods, sweets, salsas, strudels, jewelry, micro greens, and much more! Check out the Community Booths to see what is happening locally, and enter your name for a chance to win the Vendors Variety Gift Basket. This is the vendors' way of saying thank you for supporting the community and local businesses.

Enjoy snowshoeing, a bonfire, Hy-Vee appetizers and food demonstration, local beer samples, wine sampling by Bright Wines, a vintage game room, and prize drawings during this Valentine’s weekend event. $34. Register by February 1.


Discovery Center

ViniYoga is a therapeutic style of yoga which adapts to the needs of each student. Classes will include a blend of gentle yoga postures, breathing, and simple meditations to help the body build strength and flexibility while remaining steady and comfortable. Beginners are welcome as are those who have practiced yoga before and all students are encouraged to move at their own pace. Please wear comfortable clothing and bring a yoga mat.

Tuesday Morning Yoga
February 5 to April 2 (no class Feb 26 or March 12), 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. $61.

Adult Road Trip: "FlyOver America" at Mall of America

Thursday, February 28 | 10:30 AM – 2 PM | Departs from Gladstone Community Education Center Parking Lot (1945 Manton Street, Maplewood, 55109)

Pack your bags! Enjoy a simulated flight that gives you a bird's eye view of U.S. attractions and landscapes. FlyOver America is an attraction at Nickelodeon Universe in the Mall of America. Your "flight" faces a spherical screen and combines the motion of your seat with the special effects of wind, mist and scent to give you the sensation that you are truly soaring. Note: your feet are dangling. Following your flight, walk to the Fire Lake Grill House in the new Radisson Blu Hotel, where you will enjoy a luncheon of your choice of soup, salad and sandwich combination. The trip is being offered in partnership with ISD 622 Community Education.  $49. Register by February 13!

We've all heard about the health benefits of yoga and meditation. This workshop will focus on ways to empower you to better manage stress and anxiety. You will learn soothing breathing techniques, gentle yoga movements for your body, and meditations to help you calm your busy mind. You will leave with an easy at-home practice you can do daily. Take control of your stress and anxiety so you can life a full and happy life! $28. Register by February 25.
