Oakdale Art Discovery Fair

Saturday, November 3 | 10 AM – 5 PM | Discovery Center

Discover the perfect gift while submerging yourself into local displays of talent and skill as artists and crafters come together for one amazing fair right in your area! There will be a variety of artwork and crafts available for purchase including paintings, photography, woodworking, jewelry, pottery, and more, along with live music performances and a free craft station for the kids. Don’t miss the chance to bring home something special while you discover and are inspired by the work of those in your community! Free to browse!

Sundae Bingo

Sundae Bingo

Sunday, December 9 | 1 – 3 PM | Discovery Center

What could be better than ice cream sundaes and 2 hours of bingo? Join us for this exciting Sunday afternoon event! Make your own sundae while shouting out BINGO! Prizes will be awarded each game for this all-ages event. Limit of two prizes per participant. All will be eligible for the grand prize raffle drawing at the end of the event (must be present to win raffle)! All ages welcome! $8. Register by November 30!

Programs for the Kids

KidCreate Studio Art Classes (Ages 4 to 9)

Discovery Center

Kids explore art in an environment full of giggles and grins. Kids create fridge worthy masterpieces while learning art concepts and experimenting with different art materials. Classes provide a fun, self-esteem building atmosphere full of “I did it” moments. $29 per class. Register one week prior to class!

Curious Critters Club (Ages 3 to 6)

Children participate in discussions, play games, watch DVDs, and create projects. $7 per class. Register one week prior to class!

Fall Storytime for Preschoolers: Bats

Wednesday, November 21 | 10:30 AM | Discovery Center

Join Katelyn from the Oakdale Library for a series of special preschool story times! We will have fun talking, singing, reading, writing, and playing together. We will focus on concepts such as counting, colors, sharing, emotions, patterns, and the alphabet. A simple craft will follow. A free program recommended for developmental ages 0 to 5 and their grown-ups. Free. Please call 651-747-3860 to reserve your spot!

Saturdays, November 10 & 24 | 9 AM – 1 PM | Discovery Center

Over 20 local vendors offering a unique variety of items including baked goods, jams, cheeses, meats, canned goods, sweets, salsas, strudels, jewelry, micro greens, and much more! The perfect place for holiday shopping! Check out the Community Booths to see what is happening locally, and enter your name for a chance to win the Vendors Variety Gift Basket. This is the vendors' way of saying thank you for supporting the community and local businesses.


Discovery Center

ViniYoga is a therapeutic style of yoga which adapts to the needs of each student. Classes will include a blend of gentle yoga postures, breathing, and simple meditations to help the body build strength and flexibility while remaining steady and comfortable. Beginners are welcome as are those who have practiced yoga before and all students are encouraged to move at their own pace. Please wear comfortable clothing and bring a yoga mat.

Wednesday Evening Yoga Flow

Wellness 50+ “Wellness Book Club”

Adult Road Trip: “Miracle on Christmas Lake"

Soap opera star Colin Avery returns to his Minnesota roots to take over Christmas Lake Community Theater after his father dies. Colin's new wife Tess – a city girl with zero tolerance for mosquitoes – comes along for the ride, only to find the theater on the verge of bankruptcy! After losing the rights to “It’s a Wonderful Life,” they race to come up with another play. There’s true love and off-key Christmas carols, lutefisk and naked pot bellies, and best of all, unexpected miracles happen. A ridiculous and heart-warming holiday comedy, guaranteed to tickle the funny bone of lutefisk-eating Minnesotans everywhere! Lunch prior to the performance, Claddagh Irish Pub and Restaurant. $72.
