Santa is planning a special visit to Oakdale. He'll travel through town on a decorated fire truck. To make Santa's special visit extra special, please make plans to welcome him at one of his stops along Hadley Avenue.

Best Snow Sculpture of Oakdale Contest Calling all creative Oakdale families! Do you have what it takes to create the best snow sculpture in the city? Head outside any time after a snowfall and create your masterpiece! All sculptures are judged on appearance, relative to this season's theme: "Summer at the Beach." Winning sculpture receives a $100 Marcus Theaters gift card! Submit photo entries by March 30. Winner will be contacted by April 2.

Is your grandchild dazzled by dinosaurs? This is their chance to have a play date with a dino and create a fantastic work of dinosaur art. Road Trip "Capitol Tour and Conservatory"Tuesday, Jan. 23 | 10:15AM - 4:15PM | Departs from Walton Park Bandshell Parking Lot
As proud Minnesotans, we're off to St. Paul for a guided tour of the Minnesota State Capitol building to see this magnificent 1905 masterpiece returned to its original grandeur. During a 45 minute guided walking tour, you will hear stories about the Capitol's history, art, architecture, and state government and see the recent restorations. After the tour, lunch is at Augustine's Bar and Bakery. Then, escape from the snow and winds of a Minnesota winter at the 2018 Annual Winter Flower Show at the Como Park Marjorie McNeely Conservatory to meander through the conservatory at your own pace. $54.
