Construction has begun on this year’s street improvement project. The contractor has split the project into smaller areas for coordination and scheduling (see project area Map on City website www.ci.oakdale.mn.us):
- 31st Avenue neighborhood west of Ideal Avenue and north of Stillwater Boulevard (Anna's Grove).
- 4th Street between Helmo Avenue and Inwood Avenue.
- Imperial Avenue/Oak Marsh Drive/3rd Street from 4th Street to Inwood Avenue.
The improvements include miscellaneous storm sewer/sanitary sewer/water main repairs and replacement, replacement of isolated sections of structurally damaged curb and gutter, repaving of the asphalt pavement section, installation of new street lighting, and some trail and walk improvements. On 4th Street the rural roadway with ditches will be replaced with an urban roadway with curb and storm sewer.
