Information

What is Forest Therapy? Forest Therapy, or “forest bathing”, is a research-based framework for supporting healing and wellness through immersion in forests and other natural environments. Studies have demonstrated a wide array of health benefits, especially in the cardiovascular and immune systems, and for stabilizing and improving mood and cognition. Forest therapy walks are slow-paced and are leisurely guided through nature by certified forest therapy guides.

Christine Shoemaker is a certified ANFT Forest Therapy guide from the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy (ANFT). She has been a resident of Oakdale for 3 years and grew up in the surrounding area. Christine is the founder of Sky Meets Water Forest Therapy LLC.

Attend in-person or virtually. Spots are limited, masks can be worn (subject to applicable federal/state/local mask mandate guidelines), and please arrive early for in-person.
