Tree Services

The City issues licenses to businesses wanting to provide tree services, such as pruning and removal, in Oakdale.

Application Requirements: New

• Tree Services License Application (PDF)
• Payment of $150 to the City of Oakdale - The City offers a quick and easy way to pay your license online. You may also pay by mail or in person with a check or cash.

Licensing Process

Once a complete license application has been received by city staff, the application will be reviewed. Processing may take up to 10 business days. Approved licenses will be mailed to the address listed on the application, unless other arrangements are made.

License Term

Tree Services license term is January 1 through December 31. Applicants should submit license applications by December 1 of each year.

City Code

A license is required for commercial tree cutting, trimming, pruning, removal or spraying per City Code Sec. 22-21.
