    6 p.m.: Ted Bearth Grande Parade
    - Grand Marshal: Oakdale Update Cable Show Host Frank Orsello
    - Parade route begins at Geneva Avenue and 15th Street, travels east on 15th Street, and concludes at City Hall (15th and Hadley). Parade route, nearby streets, and the City Hall parking lot will close to traffic at 5:30 p.m., and reopen at the conclusion of the parade.

    The farmers Market Nutrition Program and Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program seek to provide fresh, unprepared, locally grown fruits and vegetables to WIC participants and income-eligible seniors, and to expand the awareness, use of, and sales at farmers' markets. The Oakdale Farmers Market has a number of participating vendors.

    The team has prepared a new series of events to evaluate and improve upper and lower body strength. Come to the first session which includes a Senior Fit Test and exercises. Then join us for more help in two subsequent sessions during the summer. Final evaluation in September will make you feel proud!

    Join 3rd Lair as they bring their new skateboard contest, "Skate Jam" to Walton Park. The contest is aimed at creating memorable skateboarding experiences for riders of all ages and abilities. The event will feature unique formats that are designed to utilize the park to its maximum potential. There will be divisions that represent a variety of styles, abilities, and experience levels.

    3rd Lair will provide prizes for top performers as well as give access to additional ways to earn prizes and recognition. 3rd Lair's goal is to continue to support and grow skateboarding participation here in the Twin Cities. Let's skate!

  8. Amped Up Entertainment: U of M Raptor Center

    Are you looking for a free program for your children, grandchildren, or even yourself this summer? Then the Discovery Center Amphitheater is the place to be! On select Thursday mornings throughout the summer, the amphitheater will play host to a variety of programs geared to all ages of children. If there is inclement weather; the program will be moved inside.

    Programs are approximately one hour long.

    U of M Raptor Center
    The University of Minnesota Raptor Center will present three different raptors. An owl, hawk, and falcon will all be present on the glove of their trainers. Each bird of prey will be brought out individually and discussed.
