Tobacco Sales

The City issues licenses to businesses wanting to sell tobacco, tobacco products, or tobacco related devices in Oakdale.

Application Requirements

  • Tobacco Sales License Application (PDF) and Payment
  • Tobacco Sales Supplemental Form (PDF) Must be completed by applicant’s spouse, officer, person in charge of premises, or any person(s) controlling or owning an interest in excess of five (5) percent).
  • Payment of $525 to the City of Oakdale - Please refer to the fee schedule found in the application packet and call 651-2739 for payment information.

Licensing Process

Once a completed license application has been received by City staff, the application will be reviewed and a report will be submitted to the City Council. Please note that the licensing process may take up to 60 days.

License Term

The license term is January 1 through December 31, annually. Licensed businesses must re-apply annually.
