Permits for Facilities

Reservations give park guests exclusive use of the facility stated on the permit for the duration noted on the permit. Permits may be requested for the current year starting on the first business day each January. Facilities are typically available May 15 to October 15.

Security Deposit (Kitchen) $300 cash/check no tax
Walton Park Band Shell Package
(Includes: Band Shell, Two Large Shelters, Two Shelter Kitchens)
$550 plus tax

Reservation Process

  • Reserve your picnic shelter today by calling 651-747-3860 or visiting the Recreation Office at the Discovery Center.  
  • Payment is required at time of reservation.
  • Refunds are not offered for cancellations made within 14 days of the event or due to inclement weather. Approved refunds for cancellations made at least 14 days prior to the event will be subject to a $5 cancellation fee.
